I received a kind and encouraging personalized rejection on my full manuscript (99k adult romcom) that briefly explained what about the story did and didn’t work for her. I found her comments on what didn’t work for her interesting - none of the other people who have read my novel have had the same complaints so I hesitate to make any changes at this point, but I’ll keep her comments in mind.

I’ll admit to being really heartbroken about this one, because she seems like a wonderful agent and I think we would have gotten along quite well. She did say I should feel free to keep her in mind for future projects, and if things don’t work out this time around, I certainly will.
