Personally, as someone who's been agented before and is now on the market for a new agent, I've never had luck with Curtis Brown in general. VERY SLOW to no response rate even with the few agents there that use Query Tracker. I gave them a shot anyway but as others had said, that lack of communication and response time is indictive of what you'd most likely also experience as one of their clients. It's just something to think about and consider if you're a writer who prefers to have an agent who actually has time to respond to your emails and work with you and your projects.

Thanks @NickMcMillan and co. I also haven't received any reply yet either to my query or my followup at 12 weeks, and I have asked myself the same thing you have. I saw her post on twitter in April that she finally finished with queries from last year, and I know some agents really pride themselves on responding to every query, but if the response time is that long (and I have seen longer from other agents) I would prefer they close until they are caught up (but to elaborate on that topic would be forbidden lol).

@HaleyMcClendon @KNILMRDS --- SAME!!! Queried in January, messaged her May 9 to ask if I could resubmit with my new material (and/or nudge her about my original query.)
I'm not saying you or anyone else needs to follow my lead on this, but I've decided to give her another 8 weeks to respond to either my message or my original query. If I haven't heard back by then, I'm taking it as a no and moving on to another Curtis Brown agent.
I hate to say it, but this is becoming one of those situations where I'm asking myself, "Is this the right agent for me?" Not that it's personal or reflective of her skills. I just think maybe it's indicative that she would have a hard time giving me and my book the attention I need being a first-time writer.
PLEASE keep us updated if you hear anything back. It would give hope to a fellow writer wading through the query trenches.
