Received an email confirmation that my query was received.

10-4-24: Pulling query after reading above comments about agents family emergency. Wishing her all the best.

Does anyone think they'd frown on querying another agent in the company? I don't want to cross a line, but I'd love to still have my work considered.

Thanks for the suggestions @winterwren and @jlmusaji, I've made the edit. Good luck to you both as well!

@nemacocy, you can edit your Query Status by clicking the icon to the left of "Query Status" in the righthand column. That opens a box where you can click "Edit" to essentially erase the history of your query to an agent. They'll still be in your Query List with any notes or reminders or tags you had added to them. (I just did it myself.) Best of luck with querying!

"Hello and thank you for querying me. This email is to inform you that, due to a family emergency, I am unable to consider queries submitted during the open reading period of September 16-24, 2024. If you wish to re-query me at a future date, I will re-open to queries in 2025..."

I received the message that she is unable to respond due to an emergency and will be opening again in 2025. I just edited my query status to say not yet sent and have her showing up now as unqueried but on my list.
