About QueryTracker

Let QueryTracker tell you more about this agent. Including...

  • Query Response Times
  • Genres of Interest
  • Preferred Manuscript Lengths
  • The Best Time to Query
  • And More
And best of all, it's FREE.

How it works?

Writers provide data about their query experiences with agents.

That data is then compiled into reports showing details about each agent's query history, allowing writers to reach the agent that is right for their work.

Why is QueryTracker Free?

QueryTracker is free because it is our goal to collect as much data as possible about query letter results.

To do that, we need as many members as possible to submit their data, and the best way to do that is to make it free.

So please, join us in building the web's largest collection of query data.

Agents, please contact us to make any changes to your profile.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

I participated in #pitmad on 9/13 and Margaret Bail asked for first 10 pages. Sent it 9/13 and just got a request for a full!

Not sure where to add this, but I received a request from Margaret Bail, an asst. agent, from the Twitter PitchMadness contest. She's not listed on the website, so I suspect she's new. Fingers crossed!

I met Andrea last September through a workshop, where she requested a partial. I have not heard either way in over four months. My nudge has gone unanswered. I'm considering it a silent rejection.

I pitched a medical thriller to Andrea at the PNWA meeting last summer, she requested 100 pages. I finished the rewrite in Feb and sent requested material 2/16/11. On 3/3/11 she requested full manuscript. Electronic rejection with comments on 4/27/11. When I emailed back to thank her I asked if she was open to a proposal for a non fiction, and she responded 4/28 that she was. I found her professional and reliable, and plan to submit a nonfiction proposal, which is her forte. She normally only accepts queries from people she has met, the big advantage of pitching at conferences.

I hadn't noticed the "do not query unless etc." (duh) until after I sent my unsolicited query and felt really stupid until I got Andrea's e-mail requesting pages. I guess sometimes it pays to try even when you're sternly advised not to. Wish me luck.

ER: 3/25/11 - Oh well, that's how it goes - and on to the next one
