Apparently misunderstood their submission guidelines. From the "Submissions" page on their website, it looks as if they only want a query. I didn't see the link on the left that said "General Guidelines," which mostly repeats what is on the main page, but adds that they want 10 sample pages with the query.
My bad.
Jacqueline Flynn emailed me yesterday to say that they cannot consider the query without ten sample pages. Were it a query-only agency, I could get excited and say that they'd asked for a partial.
Or I could tell myself that if they hated the query and synopsis, they wouldn't have bothered asking for the first ten pages, so it's sortakindaifyousquintatitinthehalflight a partial request.
Is this querying process making me crazy or what? ;-)
