In this case, my nudge was met with silence. Of the ten submissions I had out when the offer came in, only 2 failed to respond at all. A few passed immediately ("Congrats and good luck!"--that sort of thing) and the rest said they would get back to me before the deadline (a week), and they all did. Everyone was incredibly generous and complimentary. It was a gratifying week.
Thanks for your good wishes. I'm really happy about the agent I signed with; just waiting for her countersigned contract before I tell the world!
