About QueryTracker

Let QueryTracker tell you more about this literary agent. Including...

  • Query Response Times
  • Genres of Interest
  • Preferred Manuscript Lengths
  • The Best Time to Query
  • And More
And best of all, it's FREE.

How it works?

Writers provide data about their query experiences with literary agents.

That data is then compiled into reports showing details about each agent's query history, allowing writers to reach the literary agent that is right for their book.

Why is QueryTracker Free?

QueryTracker is free because it is our goal to collect as much data as possible about query letter results.

To do that, we need as many members as possible to submit their data, and the best way to do that is to make it free.

So please, join us in building the web's largest collection of query data.

Agents, please contact us to make any changes to your profile.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Thank you, digger. For some reason, British agencies can be very secretive about exactly what genres they're interested in.

Several comments below about genres - their website (not sure if this is a recent change) states: "We are actively looking for new writers across the board, both general and genre fiction and non-fiction"

I interpret that to mean they are open to ANY genre. The only specific exclusions listed are "books for children, poetry, plays, screenplays and short stories".

I really do prefer agents who take the time to send a rejection letter. I know many agents are just too busy to do this, however, it is nice to at least know it is a NO.

Also one of the better form rejection letters. Put my first name in and the stock standard rejection is:

Many thanks for your kind words and for sending us this proposal, which I read with interest. I considered it carefully but I’m afraid on balance it just doesn’t quite grab my imagination in the way that it must for me to offer to represent you. So I must follow my instinct and pass on this occasion. I’m sorry to be so disappointing, but thanks for thinking of us. Of course this is a totally subjective judgement, so do try other agents and I wish you every success.

Kind regards

Where on their website does it say they don't do Fantasy or Romance?
