A lot of excellent agents do not have a web presence because they get so many queries and because some people query them over and over with the same projects. A Publishers Marketplace presence shows legitimacy and lists sales, etc.

Makes me nervous when I only see them on the Market Place. anyone know how good that makes them or big? ya know? Been burned once.

I finally nudged after not getting a response within two months via the SASE I enclosed with my chapters. She emailed this morning to say she'd thought she'd already responded but perhaps it had gotten lost. And that she didn't feel it was a book she could successfully represent.
