About QueryTracker

Let QueryTracker tell you more about this literary agent. Including...

  • Query Response Times
  • Genres of Interest
  • Preferred Manuscript Lengths
  • The Best Time to Query
  • And More
And best of all, it's FREE.

How it works?

Writers provide data about their query experiences with literary agents.

That data is then compiled into reports showing details about each agent's query history, allowing writers to reach the literary agent that is right for their book.

Why is QueryTracker Free?

QueryTracker is free because it is our goal to collect as much data as possible about query letter results.

To do that, we need as many members as possible to submit their data, and the best way to do that is to make it free.

So please, join us in building the web's largest collection of query data.

Agents, please contact us to make any changes to your profile.

Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

EQ: 6/7.
Received request for full: 8/1, submitted that day.
Received email rejection 10/14.

Here's what the letter said: Thank you for sending your manuscript and for your patience while I reviewed it. I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass on A LITTLE LESS OF LUCY. This is an interesting idea and you are a very good writer but, unfortunately, I did not find it compelling enough to want to take it further The market for fiction is so competitive now that you need an agent who really connects emotionally with your work and will be an enthusiastic advocate for it.

In any case, thanks again for the chance to consider this and good luck in your search for representation.

Hugs Cassandra. She did give me a NR for Chain Reaction. I'll be requerying her in 2012.

Ellen rejected my partial with what I hope was a lovely sentence of personalized encouragement. It can be hard to tell, but if it was a form letter, it was polite. Just to give a timeline for others waiting to hear back, I queried Ellen on 7/5. She requested the partial 8/1, which I emailed on 8/3. I asked about the status of my partial 12/6 and was rejected 12/14.

Best of luck to those still in the game!

Thanks Cassandra. I'll nudge her on Monday, since they're now closed to queries.

11/17: 8/2, I queried her. Two weeks ago, I nudged her. It's a no response, not interested. I'll try Amy next month and requery her in 2012. Cassandra, she did say no earlier this year for Venom and responded to it.
