Tweet from Joanna Volpe rted by Suzie:
"OK--so great day for our query email to go down. Anyone who has queried NCLit today, we didn't receive it! Please hold off on resending."
And then from Suzie:
"So if you just so @JoSVolpe's, something happened to the query email! We're trying to fix it, but I might have to redo the contest!"

Suzie just tweeted again: "OK WAIT! It looks like they've come through! I've found 626 queries from the last hour...seems like that might be them" And then: "Everyone who submitted to the query contest, I'll try to get you an auto response by tomorrow so you know it's received..." Fingers crossed!

So, I guess, they actually received 313 queries and--because we writers follow guidelines to the letter--we all resent after not receiving an auto response. Good luck to all.

Squeee! Received a FULL request tonight after participating in her contest! She's so awesome and I'm super stoked. <--- I don't even care if no one uses that word anymore, btw. Good luck everyone!

Just got my reply. She said the word count was a little long for this kind of novel. It's Contemporary YA. Just over 51,000 words. That's long? Oh, well. Wasn't right for her I guess.

Bummer, t_louise. :( I wonder if she misread it. Seems like that would be on the short end rather than the long end. Not that I know much about Contemporary YA.
Still waiting to hear back on mine...
