The wait from when you've gotten a request for an MS?

I mean, they requested a full yesterday, but I have to sit on my hands to keep myself from checking my email every 2 minutes.... embarrassed2

Hey Abby, do yourself a favor and write another book or something! I've waited six months on fulls. Don't drive yourself nuts. Its easy to say, I know, but I have had partials and fulls out with quick and not quick at all responses. So do something else, check your email periodically, and enjoy this ride!

 agree

Also remember - you WILL get emails during this time, most likely unrelated to the submission. So don't have a heart attack every time your phone bongs or the little notification window pops up saying you've got mail!

I feel like Dobby here - maybe I should iron my hands to keep me from checking my phone/email/whatever media outlet is available....

I know I have to be patient, but it isn't easy.

Thanks for the encouragement.... I need it....

I got into blogging. Now I have an excuse to be on the computer all day. (Besides writing.)

Methinks ironing your hands would make it hard to keep writing and signing that contract! XD

Definitely start another book! That way, too, if the full comes back as a rejection (which hurts twice as much as a query r) hopefully you'll love your new MS so much that the R will just kind of roll off you.
At least, that's how it worked for me

Writing something else; tweeting; reading "Wheel of time" (fromt the beginning). It was that, or "War&Peace"...  crazy
You can eat chocolate, too. And go to the gym to fight the calories afterward ;)

I check my e-mail five times a day - hoping and dreading that someone's written!
And in between time, I work on the next MS. After that gets rolling, the first MS doesn't seem quite as important - notice I said 'quite'. Grin

Oh - and I would eat tons of chocolate, but then those pounds start adding up no

Good Luck!

I waited a year once to get a form rejection. Put it in a "drawer" and start a new manuscript. Best of luck to you!
