I submitted. They said it can take 6-9 months to hear back, due to the number of submissions they receive. So I'm not going to hold my breath!

FYI... I was in the open door submission LAST year. Made it to editorial and Angry Robot passed my manuscript to Strange Chemestry. Strange Chemestry asked me for a rewrite. Then it was finally rejected. I was lucky enough to be the LAST one to hear my fate from all the submissions last year. My total time for closure: 13 months.So use the 6-9 months lightly.  |

I figure it will take that long to hear back, that I will have forgotten all about it!
It'll either be a reject which won't worry me, or an unexpected happy dance if they want more.

I got a full request today. And they said it could take another 6 months before I hear back. Kinda gives me an extra fuzzy feeling with my coffee this morning. My requests from agents for this MS haven't gone anywhere, so I have moved on to MS#2. Nice to give my first baby one last go  |
