Me too. Some French writer combined second and third person, plus mixing present and past tenses, and the book was fabulous.  clap

I've seen present tense used very well in asides or when the characters are in a different state of mind. I see all these things as tools to go places we want to go and to get across how our characters perceive the world and their conflicts.
