Well, honestly, I've had several partial and full requests for all three mss with no offers, so to me, I would love a request and be happy to get it in front of someone, but I know not to get my hopes up  sad So that is how I'm going with it!

Hug it's only day 1. maybe some of the agents are saving up for full requests. and maybe some of those requests will be us.

i've only had the one agent show interest, and that was only after one of her clients emailed her on my behalf. everyone has been a form rejection. 23 form rejections.  Roll Eyes this might be Duality's last hurrah. once it gets back to that agent.

I'm right there with you, Anya.  I think if I don't get any requests, I HAVE to shelve Code.  I don't want to give up, but what do you do?

Don't give up, Nikki.  Not too many of these agents in the contest even rep thrillers.

I don't want to sound like a Debbie-Downer (it's only Monday...!) but I hope future Cupid contests will be more specific to individual genres.  Of the 12 agents, 11 rep YA...  And I don't write YA!!!  I feel like an outsider!   sad

There are some goooood entries out there!  Hope this contest proves to be a success for all QTers. Good luck guys!

I don't write YA either. At least not yet. There are a few ideas in my brain...

But yeah. Not many rep science fiction, either, Gardenia, YA or otherwise. i meant to stalk them & see what they rep.

That's why I'm close to shelving this if I get nothing. I thought my mss was perfect for more than one of these agents. It just depresses me because I love this work so much. But a 0% acceptance rate is hard to take -- particularly when anyone who reads it loves it. Bah. Debbie downer here. I'll go back to my liquor.

 toast yup *glug glug glug*

i thought mine would be great for...well, people who don't read science fiction, who are the people i get most comments from. but so far, poor dima hasn't gotten any love. i still have some agents left to query (snail mail, so i have to get my finances up before i start mailing out a ton of stuff), so there's hope, but not much at this point.

Hey Anya,

So true. Liquor is your friend it's never stood you up. It's always been there for you when you needed it. Liquor is a true friend.

I'll go back to my liquor.

"OK, time to get serious. Anya make me a double," Don says.

"No problem, that's a double of what?" Anya asks.

"A double of my favorative drink."

"And what's that?"

Don laughs. "The next one."

Don? Thanks for that laugh. I really, really needed it. :^D Coincidentally, the next drink is always my favourite too...

Also for everyone else? I went through the entries about 30 minutes ago. There are over 40 that have no comments whatsoever. So either they're waiting on the fulls for Thursday? Or... I don't know what. But just thought I'd say -- There are a lot of people who haven't heard one way or another yet.

Unsure if that should be a  Grin moment or a  moment, however...

I had WAY too much time on my hands yesterday and created an Excel spreadsheet with a list of the 70 entries, title, genre, and interested agents. If anyone wants a copy to keep track of the contest, email me at redpanache@msn.com.
 Huh?
