You'll find my fossilized bones and posts, way back in the distant past when QT had like, 5 members. Ah--those were the days, Patrick. A lot of us are still friends, sharing and helping each other.

Sigh...it's been a long, long road. I haven't been on here much due to forum burnout, but after two agents, FOUR shelved novels and plain old exhaustion, I've got a foot in the door. It's a small press, but they love my book and I am thrilled. I just want to give a shout out to my wonderful agent who never loses enthusiasm, even when I do--who is a muse, editor and cheerleader, as well as a tough negotiator--Victoria Marini! Here is the PM announcement (yes--that is one loooooong sentence).

Lisa Amowitz's BREAKING GLASS, about a troubled boy struggling to keep his grip on reality as he unearths long buried secrets and reawakens old nightmares after launching an investigation into the disappearance of his longtime crush who vanished only to contact him from beyond the grave, to Kate Kaynak at Spencer Hill Press, by Victoria Marini at Gelfman Schneider.

In other news, I have a really cool contest on my blog---I'm giving away a blog banner redesign (I am a graphic designer and professor by trade--writing is just my insane obsession).
So stop by!

Thanks, everyone. It's more like crossing a threshold--there is no finish line---once you get there, all you can see is how much further you have to climb. The main thing is to NOT think about the finish line, but think about your writing--to learn and perfect it as much as you can. It took me about three years to figure that out, and once I did, I stopped worrying about "getting published" and I worried about if my books were good reading or not.

So--that's my big advice. I'm just excited I am going to be able to share a book that's I believe in so much.
