Ouch!  I'm getting trounced.I guess I didn't convey my thoughts well enough in the query. Many people are asking why Laurel didn't tell her parents about Reddington Cornudas' police record, etc. - 'cause she was also unaware of it.  Must rework it.  I'll post it in query thread again and ask for your help.  Thanks.

Yay! I gave you a yes!
And i actually think you're doing pretty good. You have a lot of yeses, way more than some of the other queries i saw. So don't fret yet!

Y'know, watching this whole thing going on? It feels like it might be helpful to do this somewhere on a monthly basis. Post your query and get a YES/NO and why response. Seeing some of these queries and what people see is huge and a massive help -- even if you're getting trounced.

*hugs to zooks* Chin up, sweetie!

I really hope she does it again. I'd like to get in and check my temperature, so to speak. I was especially bummed with a few of the queries i saw that got in this time, that broke all the query rules and then got nos pretty much across the board. Seemed kind of a waste of a spot to me. But then, that's probably me being a bit of a bitter betty. It's early and i'm hungry

It's not being a bitter betty, Falen.  I noticed it too.  It's just frustrating.

Ok good. I felt bad about feeling snarky about it, but it was really how i felt. Ah well. Nothing to be done about it. I left nice, constructive criticism on each one. As much as could be done in a sentence anyway

karma for you, Falen.   Am so glad the QT peeps are caring and helpful.  Some of those Slushpile people seemed angry and spiteful in how they tossed around negative remarks. Ouch.  They could have made their point a little less callously IMO.

I noticed that a lot with the people over there when I was in the First Victim. Even the agent who commented on mine wasn't... that nice/helpful. :/

I'm seriously thinking about running a query yay/nay at my blog once a month for people to come vote on and the like. I think the exercise is really cool and is a great, fast way to see how your query is doing to the general population.

That sounds like a good idea, Anya.  Thumbs Up This way we could find out if there's something the bright QTer's are 'getting' but the ... non-QTer's aren't.

I think people get really bold when they can hide behind a computer.  The key is not to ignore the message because the messenger is an tactless.  Consider each comment, take what resonates with you and leave the rest.

Keep your head up.  We'll get there.

I agree, RPG123 - I licked my wounds and am attacking the query within an inch of its life - with the patient help from my lovely QT pals.
