So far looks like the "surprise" agents are

Gina Panetierri
John Cusik
Laurie McLean's assistant, Pam
and Nephele Tempest.

I almost got a bite! AAAUUGH. My stupid prologue is to blame.
Good luck everybody else!

Hey Tele,
I'd heard that when you submit a partial or a query to leave off the prologue. But if an agent asks for a full, you've already got them interested, and so include the prologue. At that point, they can just tell you to leave it off if they don't think it adds to the story.
I myself have a prologue and I'm very attached to it. But I read an agent interview where the agent said she would reject a query straight away if it has a prologue. So hook 'em first without it.

Don't worry about the one who got away here. Your writing is strong and your query is in great shape. Someone else will be interested.

Yep, we will still have 3 weeks for agents to shop and browse. I love the support Cupid is giving out. They're cheerleaders for everyone on the list. And I'm amazed by the agent interest they're attracting. Clearly, they're well respected.

No requests for me yet, but I'm not YA, and that's mostly what the invading agents have been requesting thus far. We'll see... In any case, it's good experience.

Thanks Court and Jeanne,
I ended up emailing Pam directly (with the first ten pages starting w/ chp 1) to see if she'd reconsider. She wrote right back asking for the first half.
Super excited. Glad we have three weeks. Hopefully it will be three weeks of increasingly more activity! I love contests!

Holy cow! You saw this before me. I just about fell over. Not only did she ask for a full, but she sounds really enthusiastic about the concept. Love, love love Cupids right now!  ridem' cowboy

Thanks! And congrats on your request, too!

Congrats Jeanne and Tele!
I'd like to receive at least a comment by the end of the three weeks...it's getting kind of lonely out there (of course, I'd already queried three out of the five agents who have visited so far...)

Thanks Lex, it's just frustrating when I see EVERYONE else getting at least one comment, but now I just noted that they're all in the upper half (entries #20 and up) and most of the lower half (#1-20) have 0 comments, so maybe it's simply taking longer for agents to work backward (I hope).

I agree. I think some of the agents are working their way down from the last post.

Hi guys!  Just wanted to offer congrats to Jeanne and any other QT'ers who've gotten requests  clap clap clap  And good for you, Tele, for following up with Pam!

I'm number 25, and I think you guys are right-the agents seem to be working their way down.  So far I haven't gotten any requests, but I received some very good feedback from Ms. Panettieri-she seems like a great agent!

Best of luck and fingers crossed for everyone!!
