So Pam liked a lot about my story but didn't like the "execution."
Crap, how do I fix that?
Anyway, it softened the blow that she'd like to see future work and especially that Gina requested my full!
 Dancing Bear
The only problem is, she wants a synopsis with it, and I haven't yet written one.
Gulp. You'll probably be seeing it up on the synopsis crit thread soon.

Telesphorian,

Congrats on the request!  clap Gina rejected my full today with a nice note and some very helpful feedback. Not sure I want to make more changes as of yet, though. We'll see...

In the meantime, I received another full request outside of Cupid. (Bit of a shock, since it came on Saturday minutes after I fired off the email!) I see where Jennifer Sinsheimer was on Cupid tonight. It's really amazing at how many agents are stopping by. Wow! One-stop shopping. For me, this has been one of the best contests ever.  Grin

I need some QT love because I'm not getting any from the agents  sad
I just have to remind myself that we still have 2 more weeks.

(((Alniah))).  Same here

If it's any consolation, I absolutely love your entry!  I think you're definitely going to see requests before the two weeks are out...

Same here, Alniah; the only one who commented is Gina, and she's already had my ms for a while (although on the positive side, she did say on Twitter she's finally going to send me detailed recommendations for revision; I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an R&R).

I agree with Jeanne, though, this has been a pretty popular contest and at least we're in good company.

HUGS TO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

Just keep in mind, there's still a lot of time left, and it's possible (and probable) that all the agents involved haven't commented yet. You guys are an immensely talented bunch. Especially you.

Deep breaths, chocolate, and alcohol to all of you. wink2

Alniah, Doc, & Hester,
Hang in there! You've got great stuff, or you wouldn't have been hand picked to be in this contest! They said not even a third of the entrants made it (and that's only the people that actually made the email deadline).
You'll find that one agent that falls in love with your story!
In the mean time, keep entering more contests! Yes

Alniah, no requests for mine (#4) either. I'm still waiting for Gina's suggestions for revisions she promised.
I had sent a slew of queries recently that have all been ignored as well. I agree, it's frustrating when everyone tells you have a great query, great idea for a story, and/or a great story (one of the top thriller agents loved the ms but couldn't take on any more thrillers right now) but no one wants to be the one to take you under their wing. *Sigh*

Wait, I'm confused. She said she would send you revision suggestions?

@alniah, yeah, she's had my full ms for 9 months (long before the contest). I hadn't heard from her since then, but she left a comment on my CupidsLit entry (recognizing the first 250 and title, I'm sure). I sent her a tweet thanking her for the comments and asking if she ever got to read the ms. She replied saying she would send a "more detailed letter with feedback and revision suggestions". Unfortunately that was five days ago and still nothing...but then, what's five days after 9 months, right?

All that being said, I'm remaining optimistic and trying to find time to resume work on my next medical thriller (and finish my MG novel). Congrats to those who did get requests last night!
