I liked Tolkien just fine, except for the Elves' songs... God, that was long and boring. However, The Hobbit didn't appeal to me. If you like Fantasy (and LONG saga), I suggest R.Jordan the Wheel of Time...

But I can't stand Asimov. How to write 25 books about exactly the exact same plot, no, I can't.

I love the hobbit because i love Smaug. And the dwarves and the trolls. And the elves being asses. Good times. I cannot WAIT for those movies!

Eh I write whatever comes out and try to classify it later. shrug Although I had to forcefully make myself admit that my SF has "romantic elements." Now that I've read a lot of romance, though, I'm over the stigma. Planning an epic fantasy/steampunk/romance, a SF/romance, a futuristic romance, and a few other things, both romance and not romance, YA and adult. As long as I throw in lots of explosions, I'll be okay, methinks.

What was the question again?  Huh?
