Hi everyone. I am Sonny Long from Victoria, Texas.
I've been a member here since last year and have tried my best to get representation for my true crime boook, "Among Murderers and Madness." I researched and reached out -- both email and snail mail -- to potential agents. But none fell in love with the project.
There were two or three -- I'd have to go back and get their names -- who offered brief words of encouragement and even advice.
The reason the subject line says I ran out of time is that this is the 20th anniversary of the murders I have written about. So falling short for now of finding represenation, I chose to use the historical deadline to take advantage of print-on-demand, epublishing opportunities.
The book is now available through CreateSpace, on Amazon and I am having my first book signing on Saturday at a local Hastings that will also carry the book.
It's a start.
I want to thank Patrick for this site. The tracker system is excellent and the tools extremely helpful.

Welcome! I wish you lots of success in the marketplace!!  I love to hear stories of how traditional routes fail, but someone takes the self-publishing route and becomes a best-seller!  I would love to read your book!
