I have question about when you're sending out manuscript...If I created a poem I would like to have before the manuscript starts, would it be okay to have that when I send it out? Almost like when people do quotes. I'm not quite sure how to go about this.

Any suggestions?

Is it sort of like a prologue?

I personally wouldn't include it. The agents want the meat of the manuscript, any fancy stuff before or after can be added for the final product. Some agents don't even want Prologues, so I definitely wouldn't include a poem.

hmm, i honestly i have no idea. It's a good question. I guess i lean towards leaving it out, but i really don't know if that's the right reason

Yeah, I think leaving it out might be best, and then if I do get an agent, I could just ask them about it. Don't want to risk my chances in any way possible.
