Has anyone ever had the experience of reading something by a friend and discovering your new favorite author? I have a lot of writing friends and admire much of their work, but it's sometimes hard to get the person behind the writing out of your head. So it was a great joy when I read the a novel by one of my closest friends--someone who'd been writing for years but hadn't been published before, and discovered that I loved her work. Ever had that experience?

Here's an interview I did with her about her second novel, A Time Never Lived: http://thewritecatch.blogspot.com/2012/05/author-interview-terri-lynne-defino.html

Stolen? If it's not nailed down, it's mine.

Never experienced this, (actually quite the opposite) but it must be cool and you're a first-class friend to wave the banner. Good stuff, dms1717.   Thumbs Up

Thanks, Karma! It is very cool. And someday, I hope a friend of mine says the same thing about my writing!

I have been lucky enough to have that. Actually, Horseback Writer on this forum. She let me read her first manuscript, and from then on, I've been willing to read anything she puts in front of me.

Sorry, but since you have no history of participation in the QT forums, your post appears to be just a means to advertise this novel on some writers' forum. Hard to believe you posted this because you are genuinely interested in whether anyone here has had a certain experience. I'd rather straight, direct spam.
