Not so with agents.  They take two-timing within an agency very personally.

Since it's just a query out with the other agent and not a partial, you're fine.  If the other agent asks for pages, you'll have to refuse on the grounds that it's out with the other agent.

Yeah, that's what i figure. And i mean, Agent A was my top choice out of the two, so i don't have a problem with that, i was just bummed that i got into the situation in the first place when usually i'm sooooo careful.
sigh. Back to my "waiting a month" in between querying agents at the same agency.

Drat - you're always so helpful on here and I was excited about offering *you* some advice but looks like you're all set already! You QTers are an early-rising bunch! Glad you got it sorted out, Falen, and I think the advice is excellent. Sometimes I think we writers are too quick to apologize, and that might send a lack-of-confidence vibe. I like the idea of being matter-of-fact, and not overly apologetic, if this comes up with Agent B.

Good luck on it!

Aww thanks!

And for me, anyway, i hang out here a lot because i'm trying to avoid work and junk. So i'm in and out every other hour or so. At least on the weekdays

Woo Hoo! The partial was just upgraded to a full!  Grin
She got back to me so fast, i was sure she was going to tell me i'd made a mistake (sending the wrong MS again or something)

Thanks everyone! I was just really shocked at how quickly she went through those 50 pages. I haven't had a lot of partials before (only two besides this one and neither went beyond that) so maybe that's just standard?
I'm just used to not hearing anything from agents for awhile after they request something.

Thanks!
I hadn't heard anything from any agents for a few weeks, even normal responders, so it was nice to hear something and good news is always a mood booster
