Anybody else got their Secret Agent comments yet?  Are we going to post them?  I'll go first then.  Are we supposed to respond to the Secret Agent?  Are we supposed to wait and see if they request a partial or something?

I hope this is going to be hilarious because it has some potential. I did want the author to pick a viewpoint: Prince or royal food taster?

Both seem to have an unusual take on things, both seemed to have a comedic bent, but I think after a while without some ability to develop a character arc, this might get tedious. I actually can't choose, which is a really cool problem to have.

Who changes the most in this story? That might be a great clue as to which one you choose for POV. And stick with the one you choose. Show us the entire story through his eyes.

Other POV structuring include alternating chapters though, too.

Nope, the SA just comments/critiques on every post.
Then on Monday Authoress will reveal who the SA is and then a few days later she'll post who the winner(s) is(are) and what the prize is.
Usually there's more than one winner, because agents are awesome like that and the prizes are whatever the agent decides. Usually partials and fulls.

Then, because other agents lurk during SA, if an agent sees your entry and wants more info about it, the agent will contact Authoress and then Authoress will send you an email, letting you know if another agent wants a peek at your MS.

Does that clear things up some?

Thanks for clarifying things up for us Falen.

Here are my comments. I've never read Divergent and reading its synopsis find myself  Huh? :

I think you might have a nice little twist here with the End Times comparison ratio. Great statistic! Everyone always believes a statistic. Smiley

I did wonder if this would be different than Divergent and I'm intrigued enough by you focusing on the gadgets and the End Times more than on being a Spinner that I think it will be. I love the MC's personality: she's tough, she knows her flaws, but she's gonna go for it anyway.

I don't think the first paragraph sets us up quite nicely enough. I wanted the lack of skyscraper comment to be just one of the details you're sharing with us rather than jump right into Russell, etc. I think the first line could be much stronger, especially considering how you're not focusing on the Spinner aspect for the rest of the page.

Hi,

Kinda late to the game here. I am #19  I think it's great the agents comments are so specific. It certainly helps.   Grin

There is so much more to be said in this session than what was said. I wanted to start with Carly and her doc talking about a side issue, something that Carly doesn't think is related to the main issue and she's ticked that the doc is focusing on that and not on the real thing.

It can be related to college and friends. It is hinted at, but I want to see it front and center. Most PTSD sufferers go through a denial phase (she appears to be there to me) and you could really push the boundaries on this denial thing.

No, there is nothing wrong with her. Yes, she's going to college, but no she won't make friends.

I get a whiff of her personality, but show it off in this denial phase. This is going to be key to us sticking with her through recovery and discovery and the rest of the book.

I can't paste my comments from my work PC (it blocks authoress's page) but i'll try and remember to paste them tonight.
I really liked how this SA gave constructive criticism for everyone. She/he really took their time to give helpful comments

Yeah but that's OK. In the long run, we're just in competition with ourselves as opposed to other writers. Also, there may be some lurking agents who ask to see your query. Though since Tricia Lawrence is with Erin Murphy i'm betting my chances of tempting Ammi-Joan Paquette to ask for my query are probably limited now.
Man, i really, really hope she opens for queries temporarily as she hinted at in her interview last week.

Falen, I don't think there's any reason to think Ammi-Joan's interest is related to Tricia Lawrence's. With her recently having been showcased on the blog, I hope she'll go through your entries and make some requests! Smiley

Yeah i hope so too. I just worry (what, me, worry?  wink2) just because i know she's been passing queries to Tricia lately. A blog pal of mine signed with Tricia because Joan passed him to her and I saw a comment on QT the other day that said the same thing (the passing, not the signing)(yet anyway).

*waves at Joan, in case she's ninja lurking*
