Hi all!
Recently, I got some feedback from a CP. She said that she loved the story, but thought that it'd work better as an alternative history. Well, I knew very little about this genre except that it's history but changed. Granted, the made-up countries in my book are based very heavily on France and Spain, but I'm still wary of embracing a genre I know absolutely nothing about.
So, to get to the point, can anyone recommend some alternative history books (preferably YA, since that's what I write)? I know that they're not very common. The only one I've read is BORN WICKED by Jessica Spotswood (awesome book, by the way.)
Thanks a ton!

Well, westerfield's behemoth and sequels are alternate histories. i mean, there's also steampunk and stuff, but if you stripped that away, it's more or less an alternate history

Thanks Falen. It's now on my TBR list. The thing about alternate history is that there's really not a lot, but ypu're riht, technically steampunk does qualify.

I just thought of it because i know at the end of the first book he has a little post-script talking about what parts of history he changed, which was interesting.

Yeah, I think that mine is a little *too* alternative. The setting is heavily based on Europe, but there are witches and magic and I think that it is to different from the actual history -- not really like Leviathan or Behemoth. Thanks, though!
