So I'm looking into this for a shorter, novella-type book I'm working on, but I'm slightly confused by the submission info. (I always do this. I always second guess what they want because I don't want to get it wrong.) Someone wanna give their $.02?
How to submit
We will consider ebooks recently published via Kindle Direct Publishing, manuscript submissions, or pitches.
• To nominate your self-published book, simply email us at kindle-singles@amazon.com and include the title, ASIN, and a brief summary.
• If the work is not yet published, you can submit a manuscript or a detailed pitch for your Kindle Single. Send as much material as you have available to kindle-singles@amazon.com and include your name and a writing sample.
• All manuscripts submitted as attachments must be accompanied by a cover letter with a detailed summary of the submission.
• Writers or publishers wishing to propose an idea for a Kindle Single can write to our editors at kindle-singles@amazon.com.I haven't completed the work yet so it's obviously not self-pubbed. But when they say "summary" are they wanting a synopsis or a query letter? (Isn't it funny how before looking into this industry I would have been less confused by the word "summary" than "synopsis" or "query letter"?) I just don't know how
detailed the details should be because they don't seem to use typical publishing lingo...
And to refer back to the topic title, does anyone have any publishing experience with this group?
Thanks a ton. Karma to all who reply!
