Of course I would write a lot more if I disconnected our internet...  Grin

Despite the irony of this, QT is occasionally (like this moment) a 'productivity-sink' of mine.  sad

I average about 5-7000 words a week spread over about five days.  On  a work day I can do 1200 words if I'm lucky.  On the weekend, if I;m on a roll, I can average 2500 a day.

I like QT, because i always check it and the QT forum, before i open my WIP and get to work. It puts me in the writerly mood

I find QT helps more than hurts. Reading the success stories, hearing about other writers' progress, etc is all motivating. I'm crazy disciplined though - once I start writing, if I tell myself I have to finish a scene or so many words or whatever b/f I can be online, I obey myself.

Stolen? If it's not nailed down, it's mine.

agree  It's a community of support. Especially if you're a) socially challenged and most writers are (except for me 'cause I'm hip and stuff)  naughty or b) your spouse/parent/besty/house cat doesn't get/understand/approve of your writing. QT helps me on those days when I say, "f*** it, I'm never getting published, let me get cracking on grad school."

Critiques should spur growth and improvement. Neither is painless.

I don't do personal attacks, defense/debate of work or grudges.

Remember, my comment's worth exactly what you paid for it. Use it, ignore it or PM-me and I'll remove it.

Buona fortuna!
