This isn't anything for me, but I thought some of you might be interested:

Tomorrow (July 9th) they're having a pitch contest over at Writerly Rejects.

http://writerlyrejects.blogspot.de/2012/07/agent-pitch-contest-details.html

This is open to Literary Fiction, Crime, Commercial Fiction, Fantasy, Women's Fiction, Young Adult, Multi-Cultural -  PLUS Narrative and Cultural/Social Issues in Non-fiction. You email in your 3-5 sentence pitch to them tomorrow and can win an entire - yep, ENTIRE - MS critique from Claire Anderson-Wheeler (new agent with Anderson Literary Management).

Have fun guys!  Thumbs Up

I found a great site, but of course I didn't save it. Basically it is this...

Who is your MC, what do they want, what is at stake? The shorter and more concise, the better. Think of it as your hook or log line.

Ie. for Green Eggs and Ham

Clinging to safety in the known, a negative Nelly tries every excuse in the book to get rid of his nosy neighbor who will stop at nothing to get Nelly to try his beloved cuisine.

Or something like that. It actually is easier than the query IMO. Smiley

I had halfway forgotten that I'd entered this, and then was really surprised to find my name on the finalist's list.  *blink, stare*

So if you're not following the blog, but you entered....go take a peek.

Winner of the crit hasn't been announced
