Down Server Explanation

How does this sound to explain why I'm querying again?

Dear Agent,

During the recent east coast power outages, my mail server was knocked out for two weeks. During this time, any emails sent to my account bounced. As I am interested in your agency, I am resending my query in case you had responded. I apologize for the inconvenience.
