I was given the link to the Novel Rocket Launchpad Contest for unpublished novelists. Does anyone know it? Anyway, I entered for the suspense/thriller/mystery category and I won the category!  woo woo woo

The contest is still open until tomorrow for Contemporary Women's fiction, and then they have monthly deadlines for YA, Romance, and Speculative. Website is www.novelrocket.com. Prize is contact with agents/publishers in your genre.

Okay all you YA authors--I know you're out there. The deadline for submitting is about a week or so away. I may be crazy soliciting tough competition from this QT crowd, but...I think it's a good opportunity for those of us seeking agents. Check out the Novel Rocket website for details on entering. Prize is help connecting with agents/publishers in your genre. Next after YA is Sci-Fi category.

Yeppers, very  cool trophy, but I really want the contact. Even if you don't win the whole enchilada, being a category winner is (apparently) helpful as well. I have to admit, I was a bit worried because the sponsors are focused on Christian fiction and my novels don't fit into that criteria. However, these folks didn't put limits on the submissions and I was really impressed by that. I wish you the best Falen.
