I don't know if this would work, but SCBWI has a place on their site where you can find people who write in a similar genre as you and exchange MSS with them..... sort of a critique with someone that isn't on your fave 5, or someone not listed in your next of kin.

Just a thought.

People on QT do it all the time.  They develop friendships and agree to exchange manuscripts.  It all happens through PM based on critiques on the boards.  You can tell who is a good critiquer and who is in your genre if you follow the boards.
