What am I doing wrong? I have repeatedly clicked the box to hide my email address and have had absolutely no success. I have a specific reason for wanting my email kept private - I'm really not obsessively unfriendly.

It's hidden from everyone else, but you'll still be able to see it. I was a little confused by this myself in the beginning.
