Someone in one of my writer's groups just sent us this warning and I thought I'd pass it along....

"It looks to be geared toward erotica, but I thought I'd pass this
along just in case anyone even thinks about submitting to these jerks.

If you even *submit* your work to XoXo Publishing, you have to sign
this agreement:

"This submission signifies agreement to the above and that I agree to
grant an exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable, perpetual
license to publicly display my submission on this Web site, XoXo
Publishing main website, XoXo Publishing Blog, XoXo Publishing
Facebook, XoXo Publishing Ning, and XoXo Publishing on MySpace only. I
also grant XoXo Publishing the right to pursue anyone who copies my
submissions. "

So they take your work and they don't have to pay you royalties. It's
irrevocable, they can transfer it to anyone, and they keep it forever.
And they'll sue anyone else to tries to take it."

Check it out here:

Regrettably, for every desperate neophyte writer there are a dozen unscrupulous scammers waiting to pounce.

Caveat emptor.
