WOO HOO!  New Moon in 2 weeks - I am so there first AM showing!!!  I love the werewolves - tan skin, warm bodies, black hair, woodsy scent - YUM!!!

Haha. I'm excited too, but since I'm way team Edward, I'm most looking forward to Italy. EEK! The previews make Edward's confrontation with the Volturi look so awesome -- much more exciting than the book. I have a feeling Stephenie Meyer doesn't like to write fight scenes since the only real one is in Eclipse (um, can we say waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too excited for June and Eclipse's release? Can't wait to see Edward rip Victoria apart! WOOT!)

You guys are hilarious! I definitely got caught up in the love story of Twilight when I read the books (I'm with you on Edward, Amanda), but the movie totally ruined it for me. I can't think of it in the same way anymore b/c it was just so so so bad.  Even so, I'll probably still see New Moon around Christmas when I can go with my sister (who lives four hours away).

Haha! You know, yeah, the first one was so badly made but...I still loved it *bag*. Honestly I really think the director was awful. But, I do realize they had a very tiny budget, but she could have used the best takes possible. I know both of those (main) actors can act because I've seen them in other stuff (Hello! Cedric Diggory! Oh, The Haunted Airman was really good too). I just think it was poorly made. Rob plays Edward a little more uptight than I would like, but I guess it's pretty true to character -- maybe that's why I can't wait for Eclipse. He loosens up quite a bit there and then in Breaking Dawn? OMG! I can't wait for that!!! EEK!

Yeah -- I'm a freak.

I cant wait for Eclipse - its my favorite book!  I absolutely love the tension between Jacob and Edward. Being team Jacob, I would love it if Stepph Meyer wrote another book with an alternate ending where Bella ended up with Jacob.  I named the cat in my story Bella!

Eclipse is my favorite too! I'm really looking forward to the movie. Um, leg hitch anyone? *drool*.

Maybe it was just because I fell so hard for Edward, but I just can't see the draw to Jacob. I'm not being condescending when I ask this, but can you tell me why you like Jacob so much? I never got the feeling, ever, that Bella loved Jacob as anything more than a friend. Not even when she fantasized about a life with him for that little bit in Eclipse. To me, it was more like she was mourning what she could never have with Edward (Kids, normalcy, etc). But she always, without a doubt, loved Edward, and he was always the one she wanted those things with.. I just couldn't see Jake as more than a friend...can you describe what it was? I really am curious...Smiley

I'm not being condescending when I ask this, but can you tell me why you like Jacob so much?-----> I love the native american look, his fun demeanor, the way he knew things that Bella never said just because he was astute, like how she didnt like music after edward left; I like the pack protecting each other/brotherhood idea, and the fact that she could have a more normal life with him.  And of course, Taylor Lautner helps!  But even before the movie I just loved how he rescued her from her deep depression by doing nothing but being her friend.  He is a genuine, down to earth person.  I like edward and know they are meant to be together from the start, but he is too stiff and formal for my taste.  I would prefer the adventurous spirit of jacob - and I would never have been able to forgive edward for leaving no matter what his reasons were!  I could never trust him again and she just let it all go and did! I never got the feeling, ever, that Bella loved Jacob as anything more than a friend. Not even when she fantasized about a life with him for that little bit in Eclipse. hey everyone,
I'm into the Twilight books too. Can't wait for NEW MOON to come out either! I'm reading the NightWorld books right now. They're pretty good, some better than others. And I'm waiting on Hourglass the third from Evernight books to come out. Has anyone read Dark Visions by L. J. Smith? That one was my fav. book until Twilight came out.

Thanks for your opinions! Those are all good reasons, LOL

I like Jake in New Moon, but never saw the love connection until Eclipse, and even then it just wasn't the same. But i understand!

See, I was never mad at Edward for leaving. I understood his reasoning so I was never upset with him. I guess that's why I never developed 'feelings' for Jake. :D

Oooh, I was really mad at Edward!   He could've said Bella, my presence puts you in too much danger and I'm going to leave for a while to see if it helps.  I still love you and want to protect you.  Sounds good, right? And he couldve checked in on her once in a while!  And of course, I just liked Jakes personality from the start!  Haha, anyone want to go see new Moon next friday with me??  Ill be the one in the front row at the opening show!  naughty

When reading this this morning, someone said "I have yet to meet anyone who didn't like Twilight..."  I would like to shake your hand and proudly say, "My name is Elizabeth and Twilight sucked."

Seriously, I couldn't stand the whiny protag and the repetitive nature of "Oh, his perfect features" and blah blah blah.  The best part of the book was when the evil vampire was around and I still thing Edward should have let her die, or at the very least convert.  Maybe the pain and shock of conversion (which was actually kinda cool in the description) would have slapped that girl into a less idiot state of mind.

That said - Jacob in the trailers for New Moon, if I allow myself a moment as a cougar, is truly HOT!  It might almost be worth sitting through the movies to see that pretty face. ;)

Sorry to all the Twilight fans out there, but I certainly wouldn't pay money to read the books/see the movies.  Libraries are awesome that way.  I couldn't get into New Moon though...Maybe if I read it instead of listening to the Book on CD it would help.  Mighta been the narrator's whiny voice combined with Bella's that sent me over the edge.

Hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion!  I know someone who cant stand Bella either saying similar things, she is so whiny and stupid etc etc.  And this woman cant stand that she repeat a hundred thousand times that he is so perfect etc etc.  Rereading it, I see alot of things that are wrong with her style of writing, but I still like the story and am sure to be drooling over some werewolves this Friday!
