So thrilled someone launched this Critique Group Central category!!   clap

I'm looking for critique on my current MS as well as a sounding wall for future projects. Anyone for this genre?

What is life without a little bit of romance?

The critique group is for women's fiction (that includes romantic elements, or focuses on romance) and/or contemporary romance (mainstream or genre are welcome). If this is for you, send me a PM detailing your genre and your email address. Thanks!

What does the critique group entail exactly? I'm not sure I'm ready...

Lovinlife83... a critique group involves any number of things, including:

1. feedback on your writing, i.e., does a scene work? is it believeable? is dialogue legit?
2. bounce off ideas about current book or future books.
3. work through your plot.
4. help editing parts of your current MS. (It's always good to have another set of eyes look at your work for grammar, flow, etc.)
5. and general moral support for writing.

Of course, participation requires active involvement on the member's part, not just in requesting feedback, but offering your suggestions and input on other members' works.

If you think you're ready, send me a PM with your email address and a few details about your genre.  I've just started this group, so I'm winging it.

I just joined query tracker to ask if this group has ever been formed?  I am interested in finding a critique group (or even one person) to exchange novels, brainstorm plot, etc.  I have 2 completed novels and 3 WIPs. Mainstream women's fiction. Maybe we could exchange three chapters at a time. Anybody interested?

If the group hasn't been formed I am game for crits. My first MS is complete and in the query stage and I just started my second. Please feel free to peruse my website and blog if you feel this will be a good fit.

Has anything ever come of this? Did a group get set up?

I sent a PM to Kerry D. I joined a critique group called rom-critters in yahoo. The experience has been invaluable. Great and very active group with writers of all levels. I get stuck because there aren't many contemporary ladies over there, mostly paranormal and suspense. But the ladies are all great. You should check it out.
