    I am seeking representation for my young adult novel THE HOLLOW. Set in modern day Sleepy Hollow, NY, the manuscript is complete at 115,000 words.

    A tragic death, a mysterious stranger, and answers to questions that Abigail Browning never knew she needed to ask... 

    Visiting graves and talking to tombstones was all a part of daily life for sixteen year old Abigail Browning. But that normal life is turned upside down by the unexpected death of her best friend Kristen, and Abbey struggles to deal with the sudden loss. Now feelings of hurt and betrayal follow closely behind, as a hidden diary reveals that Kristen was keeping secrets from her.

    Torn between her grief, and anger at Kristen’s deception, Abbey sets out to uncover the truth with the help of Caspian; a mysterious boy who has a secret of his own. Along the way, she'll stumble upon the buried past of her famous town and learn that some secrets are kept for a reason, when she inadvertently comes face to face with the real Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

    Not just another vampire story, this gothic tale mixes elements of mystery, romance, and the supernatural, bringing a ghostly new twist to an old legend. Utilizing Abbey’s first person point-of-view, I believe THE HOLLOW will appeal to readers who enjoy a strong heroine such as Valerie in ‘Valiant,’ and also to readers who fell in love with the romance of ‘Twilight.’
