Hi Patrick,

Just wondering why the apostrophe's in my query letter are turning into question marks when I save the query.  Has anyone else mentioned this?

Thanks again for this wonderful site.

Are you working in MS Word?  It is full of code to make the doc look pretty.

I have to copy my query, paste it to NotePad, copy it from NotePad, and paste it into the edit-block or email.

crazy  Crazy, but 99.8% of the time it strips out all the weird characters.

Hi Zooks,
Magic_Seeker is right. If the NotePad method does not fix it, please let me know.

Hi Magic_Seeker - wow, that's too many steps for me.  It's OK that my posted query has "?" - as long as they don't appear when equerying.

Thanks, Patrick.  I think I can live w/the question marks in my query letters posted here.  It only started doing it yesterday.  As I said, as long as my equeries go out fine, it's not a problem.  Thanks.

Just read some posts from May 21st where some QTers said there were some weird characters in old posts and Patrick thought it had something to do w/it not recognizing the apostrophe in contractions.  Maybe that's why I'm getting the "?" instead of apostrophe.  Odd.

Zooks, if it just started, run a test on a eQuery to yourself.  MS Word might have auto-updated and "fixed" something you didn't want fixed!  sad
