by Marc McCutcheon.  Its a Writers Digest Sourcebook and has great, easy to follow sections on words used to describe looks, walks, body features, clothes, houses, common phrases in other languages, tics, common illnesses...it really is a helpful addition to your writing how-to library!

Ooh, thanks for the rec!  There are so many writing books out there, it's hard to sort through them for the gems and the only real way to do that without spending tons of money and time to try every one is to get recs from other writers.  And this is perfect because I've been wanting to read on one on characters!  I'm going to see if the library's got it!
