I just printed out a list of 125 agents who specialize to one degree or another, my genre...Middle Grade. I recently read a post about how to query agents that sounded pretty good. The idea was to rate the agents you are interested in from 1 ( most wanted) to 4 ( okay if no one else accepts you!). This author said he sent out 4 queries a month, rated 1,2,3, and 4...he said he didn't want to "use up" all his most wanted agents right away...and at the beginning of each month, he sent another 4 out, rated the same way. In three months he had an agent, and one he had rated #1.
So I'm going to try that...I prioritized these 125 agents on a 1 to 4 basis. Now my question is...Is there any way to create a list, or a folder, that holds ALL the #1s, then all the #2s, and so on? I'm new to Query Tracker, but I haven't been able to find out how to do any of the above...well, except to create a folder and then MANUALLY put in the names and agencies of all the agents I've listed by number. That's going to be a real chore, if that's the only way to do it
Anyone have any ideas?
