Do you double space your manuscript for kindle? I have a double spaced format for sending to agents, and a 1.15 paced file for printing copies. I think the 1.15 spaced file is bettet for kindle. Am I right? Or am I wrong?

Can you publish traditionaly after publishing on kindle?

I don't know if this is the place to ask this question, but how much support can I get from the people here? Would ya'll mercy buy a copy, and tell your friends?

Should I buy a kindle and mercy buy QueryTrackees books? LOL

I'm not positive, but I think formatting is a moot point for the kindle since issues like spacing, fonts, and page numbers are meant to be generic so that the user can have a uniform reading experience from book to book.

Sure, anything is possible.  Will publishing on the kindle help get you there?  Umm... let's put it this way: Why buy the cow when people are already getting the milk for less than what it would cost you to produce it?  If your work is stellar, and if you get really lucky, you could build up a fan base that will land you a big contract for your future books.  But your book is stellar, you're still better off having an agent.

Sorry for being a Debbie Downer but it really is a jungle out there.

The trouble with relying on mercy is that there are a lot of authors, so this will become prohibitively expensive once word gets out that it actually worked.  You're better off getting a few people to read, and love it, and post glowing testimonials that will make other people want to read it as well.

There are two must-go websites to check out before you start:

http://christian-fantasy.com/2011/05/how-to-publish-a-kindle-ebook-on-amazon/

http://guidohenkel.com/2010/12/take-pride-in-your-ebook-formatting/

There's a couple more but I don't have links at my fingertips right now.

You'll also need to download FREE Mobipocket Creator and Mobipocket Reader.

Good luck!
