I just saw this now, but the Pacific Northwest Writers Association has a conference every year...that wrapped up last weekend. It's around 400 to join if you're a member and they get a lot of agents and editors to participate. It is a bit crowded, and even though they've done it enough times they continue to make stupid mistakes with scheduling, filling up spots, etc, but it's about as good  as you can get in the area.

Muse offers an online conference every year, and you can attend that from anywhere. For free. :-)  You can even pitch editors and agents.

Also check out writeoncon.com, which will be held next week and has scads (yes scads!) of awesome agents and authors holding online events, pitch sessions, query critiques and more.  QT's very own ElanaJ is one of the organizers, so there's that for endorsement...

http://www.willamettewriters.com/  They have a yearly conference.  I don't think it is the same as what has been mentioned.

The Emerald City Romance Writers have a conference in two weeks in Seattle. I think it may be sold out, but might be worth a check. And just because it's romance, doesn't mean you are not welcome if you don't write it. There's a lot of support for writers no matter their genre at these romance conferences.

Here's the site:

Best of luck!

I realize this is a fairly old thread, but I'm going to comment anyway.  Grin

I'm also going to the RWA conference up here, the Emerald City Writers Conference. Definitely let me know if you want to meet up at the conference. Smiley

Man, I am now even more sad  sad I had to move away from Seattle - I am really missing some great conferences and contacts.  Hopefully all of you can meet up and make some good connections!

I wanted to go to that one, but it just didn't work out. So please tell me how it went. Did you get to pitch to any agents?
