I had dealings with Sherry a few years ago when I was just a hapless teenager. It was New York Literary and then Writers Literary and... well, was suspicious.

All they wanted was money for "critiquing" the manuscript. $95 by the way. Then they asked for money to edit it. I have the emails, and I knew it was a no go.

I seriously doubt they'll ever respond. They know you're on to them, and that whatever they say will get posted here. They aren't about to expose themselves any further.

Lawyered! This thread is years old, but I wanted to point out that you really can't get a temporary restraining order (TRO) on things that people put on websites.

I keep thinking of that scene in Legally Blond where Elle shows up to the trashy ex-husband of her friend and throws around a bunch of legal words to get what she wants. Doesn't this company know it's dealing with WRITERS?
