About Me
My day job is working as a financial consultant for nearly twenty-five years. I began my financial career with Merrill Lynch, then moved on to Dean Witter, then A.G. Edwards and Sons where I was a senior vice-president, Investments for ten years and for the last four years I have been with Midkiff & Stone, a firm based in Houston. I specialize in long-term client relationships and have clients all over the U.S. and England, primarily managing retirement accounts: corporate 401-K rollovers, IRAs, etc. I am pretty conservative in that venue and so work with 'serious' money. I also had a long career prior to finance in journalism and advertising (I majored in Journalism & Mass Communication with a minor in English). I have written professionally and personally for much of my life. I have had two previous agents before my current agent. Never sold a book though an offer was made by a publisher a number of years ago for one of my crime novels but after discussing it with my agent we felt we could get a larger publisher for that book. It never materialized. I have written in various genres some 7 completed books and have another 11 in mostly one to four chapter completion. These are projects I will likely complete going forward. My two passions, needless to say, are investments and writing.
