Rue Mitchell
I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful website! I can't imagine how much work went into creating it, but I have to tell you, you have thought of everything! I am so glad I found querytracker.net - my life just got a whole lot easier. Thanks again, Rue Mitchell

From the blog "Dwight Wannabe's Writing Manifesto" (http://dwightwriting.blogspot.com/2007/08/toolbox-essentials.html)
"Here is everything I've ever wanted in an agent's database. Namely: The ability to openly exchange notes with other writers about specific agents."

"...it's well worth a $25 donation to get some wind in the sails of that which could be the premeire writers Internet resource six months from now."

"Spread the word. Get signed up and spend an afternoon inputting all those helpful notes you took and query response times you tracked for the novels that didn't pan out. Data! Data! Data! We want your data!"

From the blog of Diana Peterfreund (dianapeterfreund.blogspot.com/)
I just found out about this crazy website that actually lists authors and who represents them. I don't know who does it or how, but I'm on there (not that I keep it a secret who my agent is). http://querytracker.net This is a big old "well played" to the inventor of this database. It's heaps more helpful to see what kind of books the agent is actually selling than to try to divine it from some vague genres mentioned on the usual agent listing sites. You can see EXACTLY what kind of books the agent has handled. Good going!

"Just wanted to let you know what a fantastic sight this is. I'd have to say that considering what I've found on the web over the years, this is best. Good work."

Query Tracker - Greatest New Tool to Hit the Web
Patrick McDonald has just introduced a fabulous new online tool for authors in search of an agent! And it's free!

I just found it last night, joined, and started a search for agents to query about my novel, Sun Child, Prince of Egypt. I am so impressed with its versatility that I had to stop and share it with all my friends and visitors.

If you are an author in search of an agent, this is "Business at the Speed of Thought!"

Besides helping you find an agent who deals in your genre, there are links to their websites, tracking of your queries, more.

So, the more users the better for everyone. Information shared can help skyrocket the success of authors' queries.
Personally I'm thrilled. I was not looking forward to searching for an agent, but this tool will take much of the pain out of the effort.

Check it out, boys and girls, I think you will be as thrilled as I am.

Cool Query Tool
Ok, I'm not querying right now, but this tool might actually make it fun to do so when I am ready. All I had to do was enter the name of my manuscript and the genre and then - boom - I got a list of 68 agents. You can write your queries right from the website and use it for all your query tracking. When I start querying STARCASTER, I am going to seriously consider using this tool.

I've only been looking at it for about five minutes, but I am very impressed. And since my alter-ego is Technigirl (where I've been a somewhat lazy blogger lately), it takes a lot to impress me!

Query Tracker
Back on a writing topic! (I know...it has been a long time.) I just discovered a very cool new website called Query Tracker.

Though I am not ready yet to submit (sometimes I wonder if I EVER will be) , I think this would be a great tool when I finally reach that point in the process. It is very visually pleasing (as I like) and is an organized way to contact agents and keep track of those you have queried and received rejections from. (Or better yet, requests for manuscripts.) And as more people join, the group as a whole will benefit from the information gleaned by others.

"Just discovered QueryTracker and am beyond amazed! What a brilliant gift you have created for authors. Thank you so very much."
