After a CNR from Nicole, I've decided to try Ginger. Their website doesn't say not to, and I doubt that Nicole shows queries she's not interested in to Ginger.

@fictiongirl from experience during our call & throughout the decision process, Nicole shows every MS she's considering to Ginger and Ginger reads them all and approves, so it could get rejected if it is the same project?

Has anyone ever queried both Ginger and Nicole? Ginger requested a partial from me but passed on it, and I'm wondering now if I can query Nicole.

I have to say that Nicole is so kind and considerate, capable and truly had great editorial vision for my book. It was very difficult to say no to her.

Thank you, too, @demiller! Yes, I'll wait a week or two longer before deciding it's a CNR. And good luck with your full request!

Thanks again, @magryme! Your comments are generous and very helpful. Maybe neither of us should write CNR on our queries just yet! :)

Thanks, @magryme! She said, in an interview, that she attempts to respond in two to three weeks, so the average request time stats here are flexible. And, who knows, it's summer...I agree with you about the hazard of fixating on the "most requesting" label :)

Has anyone querying mid-June or later received a response from this agent?

I did not query then, I have a full out with her though since early June. I would say that based on the timeline, she has requested pages from people a bit earlier than your query (mid-June). Nothing after has been responded to. I would give it to 4-6 at most then maybe CNR based on her trend on timeline.

Hope she responds! Good luck! :)

Not a problem! demiller has a very astute observation below on the "most requesting" angle. I also believe you're spot-on about summertime. My anecdotal evidence is there's a noticeable slowdown during nice weather months.

As for your question, Query Tracker's premium unlocks the Timeline and Data Explorer features, which is based on Query Record input and therefore allows you to dig deeper than just what is mentioned in the comments. For instance I can see that her last recorded partial request was on 6/27 from a query submitted on 6/16. So there has been a definite slowdown for some reason or other. Sorry I didn't think of it sooner, I don't use these features too often. Since it's only data from the QT tracking system it paints an incomplete picture, but it's still useful (especially if you have a stronger grasp of statistical analysis than I have).

I queried her on June 19th and haven't heard anything. That puts me well within her average rejection window, but also well past her average request time. Because she's one of the "most requesting" agents there's a potential to worry if you don't at least get a partial request, but you can't allow yourself to think like that. Madness lies that way.
