Her AAR profile has been removed. I think it is safe to say she has closed up shop.

He passed at the age of 83, and Susan was his wife. I think its safe to assume they were both in the twilight of their career. Cannot find updated information regarding Susan. Patrick, did you confirm if this agency is still open?

Robert Lescher died in December, so it is possible the agency has closed up. I'll see what I can find out.

I'm resending my query to Susan for Chain Reaction via mail--this time, with the right snail mail address. 7/31/12--I'm closing it out as no response, since I didn't hear back from my nudge last month, belatedly. I'll try her later this fall and will try Robert later this year for Chain Reaction.

Patrick, their AAR listing shows this address:

7 Peter Cooper Road (#11F)
New York, NY 10010

This agency has been around since the '60s, has major writer clients and many addresses. I'm not sure which is correct.

You're welcome Patrick. It won't be for awhile, until I get my printer's drum unit replaced. But I will.

On 2/17, I sent out my query to Lescher and Lescher via mail. Two weeks ago, I nudged them. Today, I've heard back. They said they already sent me a rejection letter (in which I don't remember getting), stating they won't be able to offer the help I want, and ... resist taking on new clients... and that they hope I find someone else soon." Oh well. I'll try Robert later this summer, like next month.

12/3: Patrick I got a return to sender yesterday. It said no such number, unable to forward. The number is correct here and elsewhere. I should've scrolled down the post and see Yvona's comment on the address change.

I called the number #212/396-1999 and got a voice msg that they recently moved to 255 W. 21st St
now i'm a bit confused with all the various addresses.
Also confused by the above which say she may not be taking on any new clients.

Submitted snail mail query for cookbook. Received a nice rejection written specifically to me on her letterhead.
"I received your recent letter, but I'm unable to give you the assistance you want. I'm not taking on new projects, in order to do justice to the authors I already represent.
I hope you'll find the ideal agent, and I do appreciate your having given me the chance.
