Always verify agent's information before sending your query. Verify the agent's query preferences, contact information, genres of interest, and if the agent is still open to queries.

Although QueryTracker tries to stay current, it is not always easy. Never trust any single source for agent information (and yes, this includes QueryTracker).

Review the user comments for more information, and always follow exactly what it says on the agent's website.

And NEVER give money to an "agent".

Leave comments about your experiences with this literary agent, or read what other authors have to say.

They have an online form that you can use to submit to "General Submissions".

Replied the next day with:

Thanks for this -- cool idea, but the pages didn't draw me in as much as I'd like.

Never responded to a full. Before I sent my query, I heard from several other writers that he tends to request material easily, but then he disappears and you don't hear from him any more. I sent a query anyway. Never again; he's permanently off my list.

I have to say I appreciate the submission form. No guessing what to submit. Sent it in 3-28, we'll see what happens.

Guess I'm persona non grata with these guys. Per their site I sent a status on a query and still have heard nothing...going on two months for the status follow-up...and I did check my spam folder. Nada on both counts...not impressed with these yahoos.

Looks like they are heavy in YA...not my bag.

Even though the email that my query was received came to my inbox, I found my rejection in my junk mail *CHECK YOUR JUNKMAIL PEOPLE!*

Ivillessence: I get your point, but it still gave me a good laugh. Had to follow up with an observation re: the author of The Power of Positive Thinking giving up and throwing his manuscript in the trash followed by his wife pulling it out and selling it...he didn't follow his own advice...but his wife did. He should have been following what he espoused, and he certainly didn't do that. So the lesson is what? Do as his wife did...?

Now as regards Firebrand. I have resubmitted a query per their on-line form. Second time I've done it. Never received a response yea or nay on the first go-round but I see from comments below that they do respond. So we shall see...I do have my manuscript poised over the trash...but I'll be sure to call my wife should I weaken...positive sometimes gives me a headache.
