Ditto to EmmieMears post below, Patrick. She's nowhere on the CurtisBrown website.

Forgot to add it in, but she gave me a very nice pass after my offer of rep. Said she loved the book, but doesn't represent much fantasy. She was fabulous and professional in every communication I had with her, and I'd absolutely recommend querying her.

Keep in mind that she is NOT at Curtis Brown anymore. She is at WME.

I had a referral to this agent a few months back. She is no longer with Curtis Brown and is now with WME in London.

(Apparently I need to look down, haha. Someone already mentioned her new agency.)

Sent her an email today to let her know I have an offer of rep.

She and Simon Trewin both joined William Morris (UK) a couple of days ago. Seems she's active, as opposed to being on mat. leave, but doesn't say explicitly.

Per the agency's Web site, they no longer accept e-mail queries:

Submission Guide

We are one of the few agencies who do accept unsolicited manuscripts.

You should send manuscripts addressed to the Submissions Department as follows:

* A covering letter
* A brief synopsis
* Three chapters of the work on A4 paper, in double-spaced type on one side of the sheet only (do not bind or staple your work and remember to print your name and a contact number/email address on the cover of your manuscript).
* A self-addressed stamped envelope if you want us to return your work.

1. Can I submit my work via e-mail or fax?

No, at the moment the Book department can only accept submissions through the post.

Elizabeth Sheinkman represents a broad range of authors, with a special interest in debut novelists, international fiction, journalism, memoir, and cultural history.

As an American, prior to arriving at Curtis Brown, she spent ten years working as an agent with the New York-based Elaine Markson Literary Agency--the last two based in London where she set up and ran the the UK branch of the company as Senior Partner and Director. Still retaining strong ties to the American market, she continues to sell all of her authors' work directly in the U.S., while now actively seeking to expand her list of UK clients. Prior to becoming an agent she worked within the editorial departments of Oxford University Press and Alfred A. Knopf.
