ER 10 hours later...that makes 5 thumbs down from this agent even for stories that have gotten a partial or full from other agents...not sure he is even reading what is sent

If my query gets rejected BEFORE I even send it, then I'll be really impressed.

Am I the only one that's not all impressed by super fast-responding agents? I mean, in one way it's nice for it to be over and done with QUICK instead of waiting for months for a "no," but it's not as if that agent is the only one, and it's not all that impressive to just send a bunch of forms in lightning speed. If it was actually personal, THEN I'd be impressed, but a curt form, what's the big deal? I just don't get the hype, that's all lol, to me it only comes across like he's not actually reading the queries. Why should we praise an agent for that? I'm just saying..

Also: with that kind of reputation, in a way many of us are basically querying him more just to see how fast the ER will be than for because we think he'd be a great agent for our work lol, so I dunno, it's a double-edged sword. Just my two cents/rant!

Glad about his fast response--he apparently has a reputation for that! Does anyone know the wait time for a full request? I'm assuming it's the standard 4-6 months, but I haven't seen anything online to verify that with Mr. Contardi. Thanks!

I'm worried. I submitted a query yesterday, and I still haven't received his rejection. I wonder if he's sick or on vacation?
