YA Dystopian romance

Came on a day when I got a rejection from an agent I had been hopeful about, so ... I was so happy to get it.

Nissie, double congrats! So far, Rebecca have been given me a NR for both of my mss.

Both Nicole LaBombard and Rebecca Podos offered representation mid-June, and I accepted both!

This is because they're both from the Rees agency, and often work together. So far Nicole is amazing, extremely hardworking and absolutely fantastic - she's always there to let me know what to do next and to guide me through it. It's kinda cool, because it's like I've got two agents for the price of one, so to speak. I'm not sure if they do the same for all their clients, but if they like a particular MS or if both like / see potential in a client they sometimes offer to both represent to work together and get things done quicker.

Yeah Nissie. I've sent my query to Rebecca Podos last week. We can suggest an agent to Patrick--I haven't added her yet. But I'm working my way to it.

I actually sent my EQ to Rebecca Podos, who doesn't have a profile here in QT, but is also someone in the agency looking for for YA. Here's her agency website blurb, for people interested:

"She is thrilled to read the work of promising new authors, to experience the ins and outs of the publishing industry, and to contribute as a member of the Rees Literary Agency. Her interests include character-driven literary fiction, young adult, creative nonfiction, some fantasy and science fiction, and in general, writing with a touch of strangeness."
